Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected capsaicin spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.

A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were subsequently released.

This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
