Kai Trump can count on numerous high-profile supporters as she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns multiple international courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to play and enjoy myself," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in only three events in 2024 and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she's able to seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in women's golf at the competition, including world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation helps introduce the sport to different demographics, specifically with youth audiences.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
