These charcoal drawings and paintings will then be expanded upon in the studio, with guests completing multiple abstract landscapes in acrylic paint to be exhibited in the village. The group has exclusive access of the venue, which is built around an open courtyard and has a roof terrace with panoramic vistas over the hills. The fee covers five days of art instruction; all meals; and an excursion to the nearby fortress and other local sights.

Vegetarian Cooking in the Algarve
This Mediterranean cooking retreat, located at a villa by the river in the inland Portuguese region, is inspired by the vegetarian dishes of renowned chefs. Participants will learn to produce meze spreads, take part in a falafel-making workshop, refine brunch dishes such as shakshuka, and make substantial main courses such as spicy mushroom ragu and moussaka. The schedule includes visits to the local market and a nearby winery to sample Portuguese wines, along with free time for strolls by the nearby river, to relax on the deck or swim in the pool. Hip Hop Don’t Stop is an uplifting, welcoming three-day adults’ street dance camp in High Wycombe. The format throughout the camp is a party-style group warmup, then three 90-minute classes covering various street dance styles, then an 60-minute jam to demonstrate new moves. Dancers are divided into groups based on ability and experience, so it is suitable for those who are completely new to popping and locking, all the way to advanced dancers or instructors. The camp doesn’t include accommodation but there are several hostels and hotels within walking distance, and it is under an hour by train into central London.

Sea Shanty Break in St Ives
St Ives is the excellent spot for a maritime music retreat. Participants will learn traditional shanties from a experienced musician, and try their hand at composing original ones. The schedule includes vocal warmups, breath control techniques, performance tips and a closing performance. The holiday is held in a country house overlooking the bay. All meals are provided, such as a Cornish cream tea on the first day, breakfast options, lunches to go and three-course dinners. Traditional rum, alas, is not included. Creative Writing in Greece
Author and lecturer an experienced instructor runs the daily workshops on this authors' getaway. He covers everything from plot, characters, setting and suspense, to sending manuscripts to agents. Greg’s wife, the well-known writer Kate Mosse, will co-host events at the start and finish of the retreat.
